Outlook para sa turismo ng Pinas positibo

Handa na ang Pilipinas na tumanggap ng maraming mga turista dahil positibo pa rin ang outlook para sa bansa, sa tulong ni President Ferdinand Marcos Jr para sa industriya.

Ito ang anunsyo ni Philippines Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco sa pagharap nito sa tourism ministers at international travel at tourism executives sa ginanap na Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Aligned Advocacy Dinner noong Lunes (Nov. 7 London time) sa One Great George Street sa London.

“Prior to my assumption on June 30th, the projections were that the Philippines will receive 1.7 million tourists by the end of this year. Since we have begun with all the programs and plans of the Marcos administration, we have far surpassed this goal,” ani Secretary Frasco.

Base sa pinakabagong datos ng DOT as of November 7, ang tourists arrivals papunta sa bansa ay umaabot na ngayong 1.9 milyon.

“Driving our economic recovery are no other than the Filipino people. We have a young and well-trained workforce who are as kind and gentle a people, as they are courageous and fierce,” aniya pa.

Ibinahagi ni Frasco ang ilan sa mga hakbang na ginagawa ng bansa at ahensya ang upang mapanatili ang positibong trajectory na nakikita sa mga turistang dumating sa bansa.

“By way of the President’s issuing of an Executive Order to lift the prohibition on the entry of unvaccinated foreigners, our guests are just now required to show a negative antigen test should they wish to come to the Philippines,” paliwanag ng kalihim.

“The DOT is set to launch overwintering packages developed together with travel agencies that “showcases not only our idyllic islands and charming destinations, but also many thematic adventures for the picking, from luxury trips to family vacations, unique Filipino wellness experiences, to colorful cultural immersions, discovering the underwater world through diving exhibitions, discovering our flavors through food trips,” dagdag pa ni Frasco.

Ang isa pang inisiyatibo ng DOT ay ang Philippine Experience Culture Heritage and Arts Caravan, na magbibigay sa mga turista ng pagkakataon na makalibot sa Pilipinas at masdan kung gaano kaakit-akit ang mga destinasyon sa bansa sa pamamagitan ng festivals, food, products, at mainit na pagsalubong ng mga Pinoy.

“As we approach the end of 2022 and the new year ahead, we look to the future with optimism and hope. Grateful for your friendship, for your continued interest in the Philippines, knowing full well that with the strength of spirit of the Filipino people, there’s so much to look forward to. WTM LONDON

Nauna rito, pinangunahan ni Frasco ang mga manlalaro ng turismo ng Pilipinas sa pormal na pagbubukas ng Philippine Pavilion sa World Travel Market (WTM) 2022 sa ExCeL, London para iparating ang pagiging bukas ng bansa sa turismo at mga oportunidad sa negosyo sa global travel and trade meet.

Ang pinuno ng turismo ay nagpahayag ng pagtitiwala sa mga prospect ng Pilipinas sa WTM 2022 London na nagsasabing “Napakaraming maipagmamalaki sa ating bansa at walang duda na ang ating bansa ay patuloy na nagiging top of mind destination sa kabila ng lahat ng mga hamon. at mga kalamidad na ating kinaharap.”

“Only in the Philippines can you find three of the top 25 best islands in the world: Cebu, Palawan, and Siargao. Only in the Philippines can you find one of Time Magazine’s 50 Best Places of the Year: Boracay. In addition to that, we have the continuing wonders of our country including the subterranean river in Palawan, chocolate hills in Bohol, as well as all the other beautiful beaches of our country that have included the Philippines as one of the 40 Best Countries in the World. Recently, we were chosen as Asia’s Leading Dive Destination, Asia’s Leading Beach Destination, and Asia’s Leading Tourist Attraction,” dagdag pa niya.

Ang mga kumpanya ng Pilipinas mula sa mga sektor ng paglalakbay at paglilibot, hotel, at pagsisid ay bumubuo sa Philippine contingent sa WTM 2022 London, isang taunang kaganapan na nag-iimbita sa mga pinakamalaking pangalan at tatak sa paglalakbay at kaugnay na sektor.

“The Philippine delegation has come here with a singular mission, and that is to convey to the rest of the world that the Philippines is open and ready to receive tourists and investments. I pray for the success of this mission because there’s no reason why we should fail because we have such a beautiful country,” ani Frasco sa nasabing huddle kasama ang exhibitors.

Ang WTM London ay isang pandaigdigang kaganapan sa paglalakbay at turismo kung saan ang mga pinakamalaking pangalan sa industriya mula sa bawat sektor at bawat background ay maaaring kumonekta at makipag-network sa isa’t isa at makahanap ng mga bagong paraan upang mapalago at mapaunlad ang kanilang negosyo.
